The German Anhänger E-3 trailer 1:72 from Planet models: a resin kit with a sheet of decals, for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin kit of a German army trailer in 1:72 scale, rounded out by a sheet of decals. It is a kit for experienced modelers: the parts are not clipped off a sprue and snapped together but cut off, leveled and glued with a super glue. The reward is a sharp casting with detail that would not come out of an injection mold in this scale.
The Anhänger E-3 was the standard German three-ton trailer whose production began in 1940 with the aim of replacing a number of older types of the same weight class that the Wehrmacht had been using side by side until then. It was built by several firms and was used throughout the war by all branches. It also served long afterward, both in the army and in civilian use, and not only in Germany. That is precisely why it also suits postwar scenes, where it can be hard to find a period-correct vehicle.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water so that the mold release residue disappears from the surface, otherwise the paint will not hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the area, and protect your airways when sanding. It is glued with a super glue, that is cyanoacrylate. Build the chassis and the wheels dry first, so that the trailer stands level on all its wheels. Lay the base down with a primer and bring the load bed out with a dark seeping coat that runs into the gaps between the planks.
The model comes unassembled and unpainted. The glue, the paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
