A limited edition kit of the Czechoslovak Avia B-222 fighter from the manufacturer RS models. It is a short-run kit, in which the plastic parts are complemented by fine photo-etched and resin elements and quality decals. Kits of this kind offer rich detail but make greater demands on the experience of the builder.
The Avia B-222 was a Czechoslovak fighter prototype of the 1930s that followed the development line of domestic fighters of the interwar era. It reflects the search of the day for a modern design before the Second World War and is an interesting item for collectors of the Czechoslovak Air Force and of aircraft prototypes.
Short-run kits do not have the locating pins of ordinary mass-produced models, so dry-fit and clean up the parts first. Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Glue the plastic parts with modeling cement. Paint with an airbrush over a good primer and bring out the fine details with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories beyond the enclosed contents are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
