A plastic kit of the Czechoslovak aerobatic biplane Avia Ba.122 in 1:72 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Avia Ba.122 is a Czechoslovak single-engine biplane of the 1930s, built for aerobatics. What set it apart from the trainers and observation machines of the day was a sturdy structure that could take repeated loads during maneuvers, and small dimensions that made the aircraft quick in the turns. It was on machines of this kind that Czechoslovak pilots flew aerobatics at international competitions and air days in the second half of the 1930s.
This is a plastic kit to be glued and painted, that is a model you build yourself. In 1:72 scale a small biplane comes out as a small model, where the result is decided mainly by the cleanliness of the glued joints and by the fineness of the finish. The part count, the range of marking options and the contents of the decal sheet are given in the instructions from the manufacturer.
Rid the parts of excess material and of the traces of production, sand the mating surfaces and dry-fit the whole thing before gluing. Use a glue meant for plastic models and apply it sparingly. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage. On a biplane, first make sure dry that the lower and the upper wing stay in the same plane, and only then glue the struts. Wash and degrease the surface before painting and apply the paint in thin coats.
Paints, thinner, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
