Responsibility details are not available.
The set holds two clear vacuum-formed canopies for a model of the two-seat Avia CS-199 trainer in 1:72 scale, worked in the open position. It is an accessory that replaces or complements the clear parts of the base kit and lets the extended two-seat cockpit be displayed with the canopy slid back. Two pieces in the package leave a spare in case one is damaged during cutting out.
The Avia CS-199 was the two-seat trainer version of the S-199 fighter, the postwar Czechoslovak derivative of the Messerschmitt Bf 109G with the Junkers Jumo 211 engine. To make room for the instructor the fuselage fuel tank was reduced and the cockpit gained extended glazing for two seats one behind the other. The type served for pilot training and carried the nickname mezek, meaning mule.
Cut the molding out with a sharp scalpel just above the scribed line and level the edges with fine sanding. Dipping it in gloss varnish deepens the transparency. Glue it with PVA glue or a dedicated canopy glue; mask the frames before spraying.
This is an accessory for more advanced modelers; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
