Avro 504K/L engine, Clerget 9B 1:72 is a resin detail set of the rotary engine for models of this biplane. Intended for the Kovozavody Prostejov kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set in 1:72 scale from MH models representing the Clerget 9B rotary engine for models of the British Avro 504K/L trainer and observation biplane. This is not an aircraft kit but a faithful engine replacement that sharpens up the front of a model. The target kit is Kovozavody Prostejov.
The Avro 504 was one of the longest-serving aircraft of the First World War and was used extensively as a trainer. The Clerget 9B was a nine-cylinder rotary engine in which the whole cylinder block turned together with the propeller. On this type the exposed engine is a prominent visual feature.
The finely cast resin parts faithfully capture the cylinders and the detail of the Clerget 9B rotary engine. The parts are meant to be cut from the casting blocks, cleaned up and assembled into the engine bay of a model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. A primer for resin is recommended before painting; the engine stands out with a combination of metallic shades and a fine wash.
This is a resin detail set of an engine, not an aircraft model. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
