CMK 1:72 B-17G Flying Fortress - left outer engine is a resin set for a faithful rendering of one of the engines of the B-17G bomber in 1:72 scale. It is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin detail set from the Czech maker CMK refines the left outer powerplant on a model of the B-17G bomber in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for the base plastic kit; it contains a faithfully cast radial engine and nacelle parts that let you show the engine with its cowling panels open or in a maintenance scene.
The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was an American four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War. The B-17G version was powered by Wright R-1820 Cyclone radial engines. An exposed powerplant with the nacelle panels folded down is a favorite effect on a diorama.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the engine in metallic shades, bring it out with a wash and add ignition wiring for maximum realism.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
