A set of cast wheels for the American Boeing B-29 Superfortress heavy bomber in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Plusmodel. According to its name this is the version with a ribbed tread pattern. A similar set with a diamond pattern is made as well, so you can pick the version matching the particular machine you are building.
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress was a four-engine heavy bomber with radial engines, a pressurized cabin and remotely controlled gun turrets. It was designed for long-range operations and its use in the Pacific fundamentally shaped the end of the war. After the war it served on and became the basis of the first postwar tanker aircraft as well.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent and cut the casting blocks off with a saw so that the cut falls where the wheel meets the ground. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the tires dark gray and leave the crown lighter. The ribbed pattern will stand out if you apply a dark wash into it and, once it has dried, run a soft dry brush of a lighter tone over the crown.
The set is an accessory for a kit and does not replace the kit. Paints, glue and a model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
