This resin, 3D-printed set holds Soviet B8V20 rocket pods for unguided rockets of 80 mm caliber. It is NOT a helicopter model but an external stores accessory for plastic kits. B8V20 pods were carried by attack and multi-role helicopters, for example the Mi-8, Mi-17, Mi-24, Mi-28 and the Ka-29 through Ka-52 family. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The B8V20 is a Soviet rocket pod for twenty unguided S-8 rockets of 80 mm caliber, adapted for carriage on helicopters. It serves for attacks on ground targets. The cylindrical housing holds a cluster of individual launch tubes.
Cut the parts away from their blocks, wash off any production residue and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The mouths of the tubes stand out once shaded, and a fine patina with technical stencils brings the pods to life.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and, as an aftermarket set, calls for a more experienced hand. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
