For an airliner it is a surprisingly manageable model in this scale: the type is small, so the finished piece fits into an ordinary display case. The kit is short-run, so count on tuning the seams and on more careful preparation of the surface. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Beechcraft 1900 is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft for nineteen passengers, derived from the line of smaller twin-engine Beechcrafts. The 1900D version was given a taller fuselage with a cabin in which it is possible to stand, and a row of additional aerodynamic surfaces on the fuselage and the tail surfaces which improve stability. It is precisely these small surfaces that make the aircraft visually unmistakable. The type spread among regional carriers and in military and government service all over the world.
An airliner stands or falls with its surface. Fill the seams of the fuselage, sand them down with progressively finer grits and polish the surface, because every scratch stands out under a gloss white paint. Either glue the windows in and mask them, or leave them to the end and tape the openings over so that no paint runs inside. Spray the base white in thin coats over a light primer, otherwise it fills the fine panel grid. Lay the large-area livery decals onto a gloss varnish and use a softener so that they settle into the transitions of the fuselage. Emphasize the propellers and the blades with contrasting tips, and glue the small antennas on at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
