Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the tropical version of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109E-7 in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker AZ model. The package holds clear parts and decals for several machines put into action over the North African battlefield. The model is supplied unassembled.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed Emil, was the main German fighter at the beginning of the Second World War. The E-7 version was given the option of carrying a drop tank or a bomb, and in the tropical conversion (Trop) also dust filters on the intake for operation in desert conditions. In this form the machines of Luftwaffe units fought over North Africa in 1941 and 1942.
The build matches a short-run mold, so careful cleaning of the parts and dry fitting before gluing pay off. Use a thin cement for plastic and a base paint. A combination of sand and blue-gray shades is typical of the African schemes; bring the panel lines out with the wash technique and add fine dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
