Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the single-seat German fighter Bf 109F-4 in 1:72 scale. It is a modern injection-molded tooling from Eduard in the Weekend edition, a simplified variant without photo-etched parts and masks. The box contains the injection-molded parts, a clear canopy part and a decal sheet; the set also suits building straight out of the box.
The Bf 109F, nicknamed the Friedrich, represented the aerodynamically refined development line of the famous Messerschmitt, and many pilots considered it the best-flying version of the type. The F-4 version of 1941 received the more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 601E engine, and the centerline armament consisted of a 20 mm cannon firing through the propeller shaft, supplemented by a pair of synchronized machine guns above the engine. The type served on the Eastern Front, on the Western Front and in North Africa.
Separate the parts from the sprues with a honed knife and glue them with liquid plastic cement. Apply a primer before painting; airbrush spraying is ideal. For the standard schemes the RLM 74/75/76 shades are the right choice, and for Africa the sand RLM 78/79. Mask the clear canopy before spraying; a gloss clear coat under the decals ensures a clean transition without creep.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
