The BQM-34 Firebee target drone with a transport cart in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Plusmodel. An unusual subject that catches the eye on a shelf at once.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set from the Czech maker Plusmodel in 1:72 scale that captures the unmanned BQM-34 Firebee target drone together with a transport cart. It is a subject you will not find in the ordinary range, and at the same time an ideal complement to models of fighters: the target on its cart rounds an airfield scene out and explains at a stroke what is going on at the base.
The Firebee is among the longest-used unmanned vehicles of all. It is a jet-powered target drone used for training pilots as well as air defense crews and for testing missile armament. It is launched from a carrier aircraft or from the ground and, once its task is done, it comes down on a parachute, so it can be used again. The BQM-34 version is among the later and most widespread forms.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the surfaces. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Target drones tend to be strikingly colorful so that they are easy to see; a bold orange or red finish is therefore not overdone but correct. The cart, by contrast, should be dirtied and worn, because it is working equipment that is hauled around the base every day.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
