A resin detail set of replacement wheels for a model of the twin-engine Douglas C-47 Skytrain transport aircraft (the military version of the DC-3) in 1:72 scale. The set holds the main wheels with covers (hubcaps) as well as the rear wheel and a masking template for the clean painting of the tires and the hubs. This is an accessory, not a kit of an aircraft.
The C-47 Skytrain was the backbone transport aircraft of the Allies in the Second World War and served for long decades after it as well. Cast wheels with a faithful tread and with flattening under the weight of the aircraft come across more realistically than the production parts. The set is intended for models of this type in 1:72 scale.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks off and clean them up. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Use the enclosed mask to separate the tire from the hub while spraying. Wear respiratory protection while sanding.
The set is an accessory, not a model in its own right. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
