A plastic kit of the Shenyang J-15 (Trumpeter) in 1:72 scale with a section of flight deck: the Chinese carrier fighter and a piece of a carrier deck in one box.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Chinese carrier fighter in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The special feature of this boxing is the enclosed section of flight deck, on which the finished model can be displayed to striking effect as a scene from a carrier launch. The box holds gray plastic parts with finely engraved panel lines, a clear canopy, a well-worked cockpit, hardpoints for stores and several figures of deck crew. It is a detailed kit suited to more advanced beginners as well as experienced builders.
The J-15 is a Chinese carrier fighter developed for operations from the navy's aircraft carriers. In design it derives from the Sukhoi family of heavy twin-engine fighters, and for carrier operations it received strengthened landing gear, an arrestor hook and folding wings. It launches from an inclined ski-jump ramp and serves both to defend the task force and to strike targets at sea. The enclosed section of deck with its guide markings brings the environment in which the machine operates a little closer.
Finish and paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays first, and only then close up the fuselage. Use liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush; mask the clear canopy before painting and glue the stores with a light touch. Bring the deck section to life with worn paint, oil stains and subtle washes so that it looks properly used. The gray finish of the aircraft comes out well with discreet transitions of shade and washes in the engraved lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
