A kit of the Chinese Jiaolong deep-sea research submersible in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. It is a snap-fit kit with pre-colored parts: the model is conceived so that the parts are molded in colored plastics and join together without the need for glue. The assembled model measures about 11 cm.
The Jiaolong is a Chinese manned deep-sea research vehicle able to dive to depths of over 7000 meters, which makes it one of the deepest-diving manned research craft. It serves for scientific exploration of the sea floor.
The model can be assembled even without glue and paints, thanks to the pre-colored parts and the snap-fit principle. For more durable joints and a better look, it is still worth securing the joints with glue and possibly spraying the surface with paints of your own. Decals for the markings are included; a gloss coat under the decal will help them settle.
The model is supplied unassembled. The parts are pre-colored and join without glue; paints and glue of your own are not necessary, unless stated otherwise.
