A replacement exhaust nozzle for a model of the Douglas A-4E Skyhawk carrier-based attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. An accessory for a finished kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk is an American single-seat carrier-based attack aircraft. It was created as a deliberately small and light machine, thanks to which it managed without a folding wing on the deck of an aircraft carrier. The A-4E version is one of the widespread production standards, and Skyhawks served in a number of countries for long decades, so a wide palette of finishes is available.
An accessory part for a model of the A-4E Skyhawk in 1:72 scale: the exhaust nozzle at the rear of the fuselage. It replaces the corresponding part of the kit and so deals with one particular place on the model that tends to be clearly visible. The extent of the modifications to the kit parts and the exact seating are given in the manufacturer's instructions. The set goes well together with other accessories and with your own modifications.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the remainder down, so that the mating surface stays flat. The part is not made of polystyrene, so it is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wash and degrease it before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. It is a good idea to paint the nozzle before gluing it into the fuselage, because afterwards it is hard to reach. Apply metallic shades and heat staining in thin coats, so that the small shapes stay visible.
The airplane kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
