This is a resin set of the tail surfaces for models of the de Havilland Canada DHC-4 Caribou transport aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit of an aircraft but a detail accessory that replaces the plastic tail surfaces with more faithful castings with a finer surface. Photo-etched parts supplement the package.
The resin tail surfaces offer sharper leading and trailing edges and more accurate engraving than the production plastic parts. The set makes a more realistic rendering of the rudder and the elevators possible, which on the prominent tail of the Caribou contributes noticeably to the overall impression.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks off and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bend the photo-etched sheets on a hard surface. Wear respiratory protection while sanding; apply a base (primer) before painting.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
