Plastic model of the reconnaissance aircraft MiG-21R in Czechoslovak markings in 1:72 scale — an Eduard Limited Edition (the Erka release) with photo-etched parts, masks, 9 schemes and a book.
Responsibility details are not available.
Model of the Soviet supersonic reconnaissance aircraft MiG-21R with a focus on its service in the Czechoslovak Air Force, scale 1:72, as an Eduard Limited Edition named Erka. The package contains color photo-etched parts, painting masks, decals for nine schemes and an accompanying book about the service of the type.
The MiG-21 was the most widely built supersonic fighter in history. The reconnaissance version MiG-21R (Russian razvedchik, reconnaissance) carried reconnaissance equipment in an underfuselage pod and had an enlarged dorsal tank; it was powered by a Tumansky engine of the R-11 series and served with a number of Warsaw Pact states, Czechoslovakia among them.
Build the model in subassemblies and test the fit of the parts dry before gluing. Paint the cockpit and the interior and bring them out with a wash before closing the fuselage. For the best result use a quality liquid polystyrene cement, fine files and, after the primer coat, an airbrush. Apply the decals onto a gloss varnish and seal them with a flat one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
