An injection-molded plastic kit of the American single-seat fighter-bomber F-101C in 1:72 scale. The manufacturer builds on short-run technology, so expect more careful fitting of the parts and a build that is more demanding than with the big brands. In return you get a type that the large companies do not usually offer in this scale.
The Voodoo appeared as an escort fighter for long-range bombers and gradually turned into a multirole machine. It was powered by two jet engines placed side by side in the rear fuselage, the wing was strongly swept and the horizontal tail sat high on the fin, in a T-tail arrangement. The single-seat C version served as a fighter-bomber and differs from the two-seat interceptor form in its shorter nose with a single cockpit.
With a short-run kit, dry-fit every part and expect to use filler, especially at the joint between the fuselage and the wing. Finish and paint the cockpit before you close the fuselage. Machines in natural metal need a perfectly smooth surface, so sand the joints carefully and apply a gloss base before the metal finish. Individual panels in slightly different metal shades will liven up the model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
