1:72 F-111F Cockpit early modification with 3D decals

Cockpit for the F-111F, early configuration, 1:72

An accessory cockpit set for a model of the American F-111F strike aircraft in 1:72 scale, in the early equipment configuration. It is not an aircraft model but a replacement for the inside of the cockpit. Colored three-dimensional decals are included, that is layered decals with a raised relief that take the place of painting the instrument panels and side consoles and that look more faithful in a small scale than anything a brush can achieve.

Building and painting tips

Separate the parts from the carriers with a fine saw and sand the cut face down; do not break them off. The material is hard and brittle, so work without pressure and protect your airways when sanding. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Set the three-dimensional decals onto a smooth, degreased surface, let them settle and only then press them down. Always dry-fit the cockpit in the fuselage first and finish it before you close the fuselage up.
