This detail set holds resin (3D-printed) exhaust nozzles for the F-14A Tomcat carrier fighter, in two forms — open and closed. The modeler can therefore choose the configuration to match the situation: the spread nozzles match a machine with its engines running on the ground, the closed ones a machine in flight. It is a refining accessory, not an aircraft kit.
The F-14A Tomcat was an American supersonic carrier fighter with variable wing geometry. Faithful nozzles with their rings of petals are among the most conspicuous details of a model's tail.
Wash any uncured print resin off the parts, cut away the print supports and sand the surface with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate. We recommend painting the inside of the nozzles and picking it out with a wash before the tail is closed up.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
