Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat McDonnell Douglas F-15DJ Eagle fighter in 1:72 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. It is a limited release of the proven Eagle mold complemented by decals and the scheme of an aggressor machine of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force in the striking digital camouflage known as Green Digital. The package holds plastic parts and a decal sheet for this special finish.
The F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine air superiority fighter, one of the most successful machines of its class. The F-15DJ version is the two-seat training variant operated by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Aggressor squadrons use these machines to train air combat — they carry striking, often experimental camouflage schemes imitating a potential opponent, among them digital pixel patterns.
The proven Eagle mold builds up without major work; just dry-fit the joints and clean up the seams of the fuselage and the intakes. Finish the cockpit and mask the glazing before the fuselage is joined. Digital camouflage calls for careful masking of the hard edges — either with stencils or with flexible tape; spray in thin coats with well-thinned paint. Apply a gloss varnish before the decals and, once dry, even the surface out with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
