Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat training version of the F-15DJ Eagle fighter in 1:72 scale from the Japanese company Hasegawa. This release differs from the standard one mainly in its attractive decal sheet, which covers the striking Minokasago aggressor scheme of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. The proven Hasegawa mold is complemented by new decals for this particular aircraft.
The F-15DJ is the two-seat variant of the F-15 Eagle fighter flown by the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Aircraft in aggressor colors serve with the training squadron at Komatsu air base, where they play the part of the adversary in air combat training. The colorful Minokasago camouflage is meant to set the aircraft apart and at the same time make its position and movement harder to judge.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Finish the cockpit with its pair of seats before closing up the fuselage and mask the glazing. The key is careful work with the extensive decals: before applying them, coat the surface with gloss varnish and use a decal softener so they settle into the details. Finally, even out the surface with a flat or satin varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
