The plastic kit Hasegawa F-15J Eagle ADTW 70th Anniversary in 1:72 scale: the Japanese fighter in a special anniversary scheme.
Responsibility details are not available.
This limited edition injection-molded kit from Hasegawa represents the Japanese F-15J Eagle in 1:72 scale in a special scheme marking the 70th anniversary of the test and development wing of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. The edition contains decals for the striking anniversary markings; the exact contents of the box follow the enclosed instructions.
The F-15J is the Japanese license-built version of the American F-15 Eagle air superiority fighter, produced for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. The Air Development and Test Wing (ADTW) evaluates and tests new equipment, armament and modifications of aircraft that are only just entering regular service. For important anniversaries selected aircraft are given conspicuous commemorative schemes with large-area motifs, which makes a rewarding subject for modelers and an ornament for any display case.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, mask the canopy glazing carefully before spraying and work the cockpit up before closing it. With an anniversary scheme the order of the colors and the clean seating of the large decals are the key points: settle them onto a gloss coat and use a softener so that they sit perfectly over the panel lines and the curves without lifting edges. Depending on the character of the surface, choose a final matte or semi-gloss overcoat to unify the sheen of the whole model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
