It is an anniversary edition devoted to the centennial of US naval aviation, and its decals capture special finishes inspired by historic schemes. The box contains clear plastic, decals and two marking options.
The F/A-18 Hornet is an American carrier-based multirole attack aircraft that combines the fighter and the attack roles. It serves with the US Navy and the Marine Corps and with a number of other countries, and it made its name for reliability and versatility. For the anniversary of naval aviation, selected machines were painted in retro schemes recalling the famous eras of carrier aviation.
Use liquid cement for plastic, and finish and paint the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. The landing gear can be shown extended. Lay down a primer before the color coats and apply the paints with an airbrush. With the anniversary schemes, rely on a smooth gloss base under the decals and cleanly applied color areas, so that the striking retro graphics stand out.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
