A 3D-printed resin cockpit set for the American fifth-generation Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II fighter in 1:72 scale, in the Basic version. The set is meant to replace the cockpit of the injection-molded Tamiya kit; it is not a stand-alone airplane model. The Basic version holds pre-printed 3D decals, among them one for the large touchscreen display of the modern cockpit, which arrive already colored and save time.
It replaces the kit cockpit with a faithfully modeled tub, a modern ejection seat and an instrument panel with the characteristic large-area display of the F-35. Even in the smaller 1:72 scale the cockpit thus gains detail that the kit parts do not reach.
Wash the print resin residue off the resin parts, separate them from the print supports and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding. Paint the base surfaces with a primer and an airbrush, then apply the 3D decals according to the instructions; bring the display to life with a drop of gloss varnish.
This is a detail accessory, not a stand-alone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
