Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American Vought F4U-1A Corsair carrier fighter in 1:72 scale from Revell. The model has a finely engraved surface texture, a faithfully rendered radial engine and a ring of cowl flaps that can be built in the open or the closed position. The box holds decals for two markings; the exact contents may differ from one boxing to another.
The F4U Corsair was among the best American fighters of the Second World War and you can recognize it by its characteristic bent, gull wing. It was powered by a powerful air-cooled Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine. The F4U-1A version received a raised cockpit with a better view and was deployed by the Navy and by the Marine Corps, among other places over the Solomon Islands.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Paint the engine and the cockpit and pick out their details before you close the fuselage up. Decide in advance whether you will leave the cowl flaps open. Lay the blue-gray naval schemes down with an airbrush over a primer, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add the wear typical of carrier service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
