Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter biplane Fokker D.VII in the version from the license production of the Albatros company, hence the abbreviation Alb, in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer MAC Distribution. It is a short-run model with fine relief, a photo-etched fret and decals for several marking options. The build includes the bracing wires between the wings and, given the nature of the molds, it suits more experienced modelers. Glue and paints are not included in the package.
The Fokker D.VII is often regarded as the best German fighter of the First World War. It stood out for easy and safe handling, a good rate of climb and the ability to stay in the air even at low speed. Demand was so great that besides the parent Fokker company other works built it under license as well. The Alb version comes from the production of Albatros Flugzeugwerke; the individual license batches differed in small details, for instance in the shape of the engine cowlings or in the fabric used. The machine dominated the German air service in the last year of the war, and after the armistice it was named expressly in the terms of the surrender.
Clean up the short-run parts carefully and dry-fit them before gluing. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The typical lozenge pattern on the fabric usually comes with the decals; align their edges carefully. Set the upper wing precisely on the struts and add the bracing wires after painting. A fine wash and a matte varnish will tie the model together.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
