Fordson WOT2 E (15CWT) 1:72 from Planet models: a resin kit of the British truck with a wooden cargo bed, for experienced modelers.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin kit of a British light truck in 1:72 scale in the version with a wooden cargo bed. The manufacturer built the set from a combination of conventionally cast and three-dimensionally printed parts and complemented it with two photo-etched frets and a small sheet of decals. It is a kit for experienced modelers: the parts do not click together but are leveled and glued, and the result rests on patient preparation.
The WOT2 series was built by the British Ford in Dagenham from 1939, and around sixty thousand were made in all in several versions. They served with the British Army, the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy, right up to the end of the 1950s. The WOT2E version was produced from 1943 and was the first all-year type of the series: it received a full-width windshield, sheet metal half doors and a roof. The 15CWT abbreviation in the name is a British payload class; fifteen hundredweight is roughly 760 kilograms, so this is a light truck.
Wash the cast parts in lukewarm soapy water so that mold release residue disappears, cut off the casting blocks with a saw and level the area. The printed parts have no casting blocks but thin carrier supports, which are cut off with a sharp knife and whose marks are sanded away. Resin and photo-etch alike are glued with super glue, that is, cyanoacrylate. Do the sanding with respiratory protection and create a base with a primer, or the paint will not hold on smooth resin.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
