An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Gloster Gauntlet Mk.II fighter biplane in 1:72 scale by the Czech manufacturer AZ model. The package holds parts in gray plastic, clear transparent parts and a decal sheet with Royal Air Force marking options.
The Gloster Gauntlet was a British single-seat fighter biplane of the interwar period, taken into RAF service in the mid-1930s. The Mk.II version came about with a simplified airframe structure; it was one of the last open-cockpit fighter biplanes in British service before modern monoplanes came in.
On a biplane, take care to line the upper wing and the struts up accurately; a simple building jig works well. Stretched wire rigging adds realism. Use a thin cement for plastic, a primer and the period silver scheme with squadron color bands.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
