The set contains four GBU-54 (LJDAM) precision-guided bombs in the version with a thermally protected casing. The parts are printed in resin by 3D printing with fine surface detail.
The GBU-54 is the laser-guided version of the JDAM (Laser JDAM) built on a bomb in the roughly 230 kg (500 lb) class. It combines satellite and inertial guidance with laser homing. The thermally protected version has a tough coating that improves safety during carriage and handling, typically for shipboard use.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, separate the supports and sand the surfaces down. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways while sanding and use a primer before finishing.
The set contains resin parts and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
