A set of two turned metal barrels, MASTER 1:72 - the German 3.7 cm Flak 18 aircraft cannon, as an accurate replacement for the plastic parts from a kit.

The set contains two turned metal barrels for the aircraft cannon of 3.7 cm caliber (Flak 18) in 1:72 scale from the Polish maker MASTER. It is a more accurate replacement for the plastic barrels from a plastic kit: the metal parts have more faithful geometry, a sharply rendered muzzle and a suggested hollow bore, which injection-molded plastic usually lacks.
The 3.7 cm Flak 18 cannon was used in BK 3.7 underwing gun pods, among other places on the anti-tank version of the Junkers Ju 87G dive bomber. The set is meant for modelers who want the greatest fineness of detail on the armament without laboriously drilling plastic.
Cut the metal barrels off the remains of the casting, clean them up and fit them in place of the plastic parts. Glue with cyanoacrylate; for a firmer joint a small hole can be drilled into the plastic. Metal holds paint very well once a base coat (a primer) suitable for metal surfaces is applied.
This is not a model of an aircraft but a supplementary set of replacement barrels. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
