An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Junkers Ju 88 twin-engined combat aircraft in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. The model belongs to the range with a very easy build and a low number of parts: the upper and lower fuselage assemblies have the wings and the horizontal tail surfaces molded in one piece, so the main skeleton comes together in a moment. The box holds engraved surface lines, clear cockpit parts, the landing gear and one-piece three-blade propellers with separate spinners.
The Ju 88 was one of the most versatile German combat aircraft of the Second World War. Designed originally as a fast bomber, it gradually developed into a whole range of versions: dive bomber, heavy and night fighter, reconnaissance and torpedo machine. That versatility kept it in wide use throughout the war and it was among the mainstays of the Luftwaffe.
Secure the joints with liquid cement for plastic. Mask the cockpit glazing before painting. A primer filler will even the surface out and bring the engraving forward. An airbrush suits the German camouflage schemes, and the details are finished off with a brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
