German WW I Refueling set is a resin set depicting a German airfield refueling outfit from the First World War in 1:72 scale. A diorama accessory, not an aircraft model.
Responsibility details are not available.
This resin set from the Czech manufacturer CMK represents a German airfield refueling outfit from the period of the First World War. It is not an aircraft model but a diorama accessory: a period fuel tanker on a two-wheeled chassis, of the kind used to top up the fuel of aircraft at German field airfields. The parts are cast from resin with fine detail.
During the First World War airfields had no fixed fuel infrastructure. Fuel was brought to the aircraft in movable tankers and barrels and topped up by hand. That is exactly the outfit the set captures, and it will bring an aviation diorama or a vignette with aircraft of the era to life.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. For a realistic look, shades of period wood and metal work well, finished with washes and pigments for deposits of dust and fuel.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
