Injection-molded kit of the Handley Page Hampden B.Mk.II in 1:72 scale from Valom - the British bomber in the version with Wright Cyclone radial engines.
Responsibility details are not available.
Short-run plastic kit of the British bomber Handley Page Hampden in the B.Mk.II version in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand Valom. The box usually contains gray injection-molded parts, clear glazing, resin castings, a photo-etched fret and a decal sheet. It is a multimedia short-run kit for more advanced modelers.
The Handley Page Hampden was a British twin-engine medium bomber of the early Second World War, notable for its narrow fuselage and long tail boom, which earned it the nickname Flying Suitcase. The B.Mk.II version differed from the standard form in its powerplant - instead of British Bristol Pegasus radial engines it received American Wright Cyclone radials. It was a small, largely experimental and transitional series; otherwise the type served above all with British Bomber Command and on patrol and torpedo duties.
With a multimedia short-run kit, dry-fit the parts and clean up the gates. Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue, as with the photo-etched fret. The extensive fuselage glazing calls for patient masking. Lay down a primer before painting; the British Bomber Command schemes will show best with an airbrush and soft transitions.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
