An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from A&A Models. The box contains plastic parts with engraved panel lines, clear glazing and a decal sheet. It is a modern kit of the less common single-seat version of a well-known British machine.
The Hawk 200 is the single-seat combat version of the proven British trainer and light combat aircraft Hawk. Unlike the two-seat trainer, it was designed for ground attack, air defense and maritime strike, and it carried a radar in a reworked nose. Low operating costs combined with multirole capability made it an attractive proposition for smaller air forces.
Glue the parts with thin plastic cement and take care over the joints of the nose and the air intakes. A filler primer, airbrushed colors and masked glazing all pay off here. Lay the decals onto gloss varnish, bring out the panel lines with a fine wash and finish the surface according to the subject.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
