A short-run injection-molded plastic kit of the German Heinkel He 112B fighter in 1:72 scale from RS Models. As a short-run kit it suits more experienced modelers better: expect to clean the parts up more carefully and to dry fit them. Check the particular decals and package contents against the manufacturer's part number for this item.
The Heinkel He 112 was a German single-seat fighter of the second half of the nineteen thirties with a characteristic elliptical wing. In the competition for the standard Luftwaffe fighter it lost to the Messerschmitt Bf 109, yet the production He 112B form was built and exported. It served among other places in Romania, Spain, Hungary and Japan. The B version was powered by an inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 210 engine.
As with short-run kits, clean the parts up first and keep dry fitting them: the joints may call for filling and sanding back. Glue with liquid cement for plastic, and the small parts with super glue if needed. Mask the glazing and glue it carefully. After the primer and a gloss coat, apply the decals and bring out the panel lines with a thin wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
