This injection-molded plastic kit from a short-run tool captures the German Heinkel He 112 B fighter in the equipment of the Spanish Air Force. The package contains a decal sheet with Spanish Nationalist markings, including a variant from the period of the Spanish Civil War. Thanks to its short-run character the set suits modelers who already have basic experience of this kind of build.
The Heinkel He 112 came about as a competitor to the Messerschmitt Bf 109 in the Luftwaffe competition for a new fighter aircraft. It did not succeed there, yet small numbers found use in export - above all in Spain and Romania. Spain deployed the elegant machine with its elliptical wings during the civil war and at its close.
Use a thin modeling cement for polystyrene for the plastic parts. It is worth dry-fitting the joints, sanding down the mold seams and applying a filling primer before airbrushing. Lay down a gloss coat before the decals and a flat or semi-gloss one after them, according to the look you want.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
