An injection-molded plastic kit of the promising Japanese interceptor in 1:72 scale from the Japanese manufacturer FineMolds. The model depicts the late development type A7M2 with the Allied code name Sam.
The A7M Reppu (strong gale) was meant to replace the famous A6M Zero fighter. Development dragged on because of engine troubles, however, and the aircraft never reached series production - only a few prototypes were built. It carried a powerful radial engine and heavy cannon armament, and in performance it was meant to match the Allied fighters of the late war.
Glue with liquid cement for plastic and clean the joints up with a file. Japanese naval fighters typically carried dark green upper surfaces and light undersides; bring the surface alive with fine weathering and by picking out the panel lines. Given the prototype nature of the machine, alternative marking schemes are available as well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
