An extensive limited-edition kit of the Ilyushin Il-76MF heavy military transport aircraft in 1:72 scale. It is a multimedia kit combining injected plastic with other materials - the package also holds photo-etched parts, painting masks and a decal sheet for several finish options. Given its size and part count it is a demanding kit for experienced modelers; the finished model reaches respectable dimensions.
The Il-76 is a four-engine heavy transport aircraft developed by the Ilyushin design bureau in the Soviet Union, designated Candid in the NATO code. The Il-76MF version is a lengthened and modernized variant with more powerful engines and increased cargo capacity, which makes it one of the largest machines of the family.
Plan the sequence for the large fuselage and wing parts before building and count on careful dry-fitting. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue and the plastic parts with thin modeling cement. A primer and painting with an airbrush are recommended; the masks supplied make the glazing of the cockpit easier. The large size of the model calls for enough room and a firm assembly sequence.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
