This injection-molded plastic kit from Trumpeter represents the modern Italian C1 Ariete main battle tank in 1:72 scale. It is a new mold with a one-piece upper and lower hull, a one-piece turret, finely worked road wheels, vinyl tracks and decals. The design is straightforward and suits less experienced modelers as well.
The C1 Ariete is the main battle tank of the Italian army, developed in the eighties and nineties of the twentieth century. It is fitted with a modern fire control system and with optics for fighting by day and by night. The Ariete forms the armored backbone of the Italian ground forces and was produced in several hundred examples. The vehicle combines decent mobility with balanced armor protection.
Fit the vinyl tracks only after the suspension is painted. A modern single-color or camouflage finish airbrushes well over a colored primer for plastic; at the end add a fine wash into the recesses and light dust effects from pigments. The turret and the hull can be painted separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
