An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian MC.200 Saetta fighter in 1:72 scale from the company Hobby Boss. It is a simplified kit with a small number of parts and the lower part of the fuselage molded in one piece — you will assemble it quickly and without trouble. The package contains a clear part for the canopy and a decal sheet with two marking options.
The Macchi MC.200 Saetta was one of the main Italian fighters at the beginning of the Second World War. It was powered by a radial engine and the machine excelled in fine handling and a sturdy structure, even though its armament and performance later fell behind its rivals. From Italy's entry into the war the Saetta flew more combat sorties than any other Italian aircraft and served on most of the fronts where Italy was engaged.
Thanks to the low number of parts this is an ideal quick build even for the less experienced. Glue the parts with cement for plastic and sand the lower fuselage joint lightly if need be. Apply a primer before painting; Italian schemes with a sand base and green-and-brown blotches are typical. Mask the cockpit and paint it last, and pick out the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
