An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Junkers Ju 88A-4 bomber in 1:72 scale from the Zvezda brand. The model captures the characteristic fuselage shape with its glazed nose, the engine nacelles, the landing gear and the external stores. A detailed cockpit with crew figures and a decal sheet with marking options are usually included. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Junkers Ju 88 was among the most versatile German aircraft of the Second World War. The A-4 version was the key bomber form, with lengthened wings and more powerful engines. The Ju 88 served as a medium bomber, as a dive bomber and as a bomb carrier, and machines of this line were deployed on every front. The crew was usually four airmen gathered in the glazed nose.
Paint and assemble the cockpit first, and only then close the fuselage up. Join the parts with liquid cement for plastic and sand the seams back. Glue the nose glazing with a glue for clear plastics and cut the masks precisely, so that the frames stay sharp. Spray the model with an airbrush: the German camouflage shades with a wavy demarcation on the upper surfaces and a light underside are typical. Bring out the panel lines with a dark wash, and finish with fine exhaust staining and wear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
