Kamov Ka-27 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet shipboard helicopter with coaxial rotors in 1:72 scale from Zvezda.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures the Soviet Kamov Ka-27 shipboard helicopter (NATO code name Helix) with its characteristic coaxial contra-rotating rotors. It is an injection-molded plastic model in 1:72 scale from the Russian brand Zvezda. The kit offers a detailed fuselage, rotor head and decals with period markings.
The Ka-27 was created at the Kamov design bureau at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s as a shipboard machine for the Soviet Navy. The coaxial rotor layout without a tail rotor is typical of Kamov helicopters and allows the compact dimensions needed for operating from ships. The Ka-27 served above all in anti-submarine warfare and on rescue duties.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and take care to seat the pair of coaxial rotors correctly. Mask the cockpit glazing before painting. An airbrush suits the naval shades of gray; bring out the panel lines with a fine wash and the exposed metal areas in a suitable shade.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
