The short-run double kit Kawasaki Ki-100-II and P-51H Mustang in 1:72 scale from RS Models - the box holds TWO complete fighter models.
Responsibility details are not available.
A short-run injection-molded kit from RS Models in 1:72 scale. Note: the box holds TWO complete models - the Japanese Kawasaki Ki-100-II fighter and the American P-51H Mustang. It is a short-run kit, usually with small resin parts added; compared with mass-produced models it calls for more experience - more careful cleaning up of the parts and adjustment of the fit. Check the exact contents and the number of marking options on the packaging of the particular item.
The Kawasaki Ki-100 came about at the end of the Second World War by combining the Ki-61 airframe with a radial engine and was one of the best Japanese fighters of the closing period of the war. The Ki-100-II version had a cut-down rear fuselage and a bubble canopy with better visibility. The North American P-51H was the lightest and fastest production Mustang, powered by a Merlin series engine; it practically never saw combat in the Second World War, but it represented the peak of the development of this legendary fighter.
With short-run kits, count on more careful cleaning up of the parts and on dry-fitting before gluing. Glue the plastic with liquid cement for plastic; wash any resin parts to remove mold release residue and glue them with super glue. Paint the interior before closing up the fuselage and mask the glazing. Apply a primer, put the colors on with an airbrush and place the decals over a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
