An injection-molded plastic kit of the Kugisho E14Y1 Model 11 in 1:72 scale from the Polish maker Hobby 2000. It is the standard version (without the Early designation) of a reboxed plastic mold of Japanese origin, supplemented with quality decals and painting masks. The package is usually supplied with a catapult part as well; the exact contents of the set are given in the manufacturer's catalog.
The Kugisho E14Y1 (Allied code name Glen) was a small Japanese reconnaissance floatplane of the Second World War period. Its design was adapted for stowage in a submarine hangar - the aircraft folded up, was launched from its base by catapult and was stowed again after alighting on the water. It served for long-range naval reconnaissance and is famous as the only Japanese aircraft that carried out an air raid over the continental United States during the war.
Glue the float struts and the fine parts with liquid cement for plastic and let them dry thoroughly, so that the assembly keeps its shape and symmetry. Apply a primer before painting, spray the camouflage with an airbrush and cover the transparent areas with the enclosed masks. Put a gloss varnish under the decals with the Japanese markings so that the edges do not silver.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
