An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet KV-1 heavy tank in the C version in 1:72 scale from PST. It is the later, more heavily armored variant with a cast turret. The kit offers multi-part tracks and a broken-down hull and suits modelers with experience of small-scale equipment. The exact number of parts and the decal options are not stated here.
The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank whose thick armor gave German anti-tank weapons great trouble at the start of the war. The 1942 version, commonly designated KV-1C, was given strengthened armor and a modified turret. The tank carried a 76 mm gun and was one of the pillars of the Soviet heavy tank units until the newer types arrived.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with thin cement for plastic. First assemble the running gear and the tracks, then the hull and the turret. The model is covered in a single-color protective green; the surface comes alive with a primer, lightening of the large areas, bringing out the rivets with a dry brush and weathering — mud and dust on the running gear with pigments. Finish with a matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
