An injection-molded plastic kit of the Israeli Merkava Mk. III main battle tank in the Baz version, in 1:72 scale from Trumpeter. The package contains plastic parts and a decal sheet with waterslide decals; the model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Merkava is a line of Israeli main battle tanks with a distinctive layout that places the engine in the front part of the hull and increases the protection of the crew. The Mk. III version brought a more powerful gun of 120 mm caliber and a new powerplant; the Baz modification added a modernized fire control system. The tank forms the backbone of the Israeli armored forces.
Assemble and paint the running gear and the side skirts with an eye to the characteristic desert shade. Glue the small parts with thin cement for plastic. The appearance will benefit from a base coat sprayed with an airbrush, emphasis of the detail with a wash and pronounced weathering with dust and sand pigments, typical of use in a dry environment.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
