About product

Luftwaffe wheel chocks - Variant A, teeth folded down, 1:72 (77propeller)

This is not an airplane model but a set of airfield equipment. The package contains four 3D-printed resin chocks placed under the wheels of an aircraft to stop it moving on the ramp. Variant A is the version with the teeth in the secured, folded-down position. The smaller 1:72 scale puts the emphasis on the fineness of the print.

Use

  • Placing under the wheels of a standing aircraft on a diorama or a ramp.
  • An accessory for aircraft models in 1:72 scale.
  • A detail feature for a display case or a ground scene.

Usage and painting tips

Wash the small parts to remove uncured print resin residue, cut the print supports off carefully with a sharp knife and clean the surfaces up with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Because of their small size, work with tweezers; after a primer, paint them and tune the wear with a wash and pigments.

Who the set is for

  • Modelers in the smaller 1:72 scale.
  • Collectors who want realistic ground equipment.
  • Builders used to working with resin.

The set contains resin accessories only. Glue, paints and the aircraft model are not included in the package.
