M13/40 Italian Tank (late) is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian medium tank of the Second World War in 1:72 scale from IBG.
Responsibility details are not available.
This newly designed plastic kit captures the late production batch of the Italian Carro Armato M13/40 medium tank in 1:72 scale. The model is made up of injection-molded plastic parts supplemented by a photo-etched fret for fine detail, and the decal sheet offers several marking options. The jerrycans, engineer tools and superstructure features are handled as separate parts, so the hull and the turret look realistic.
The M13/40 was the main medium tank of the Italian army in the first years of the Second World War. Characteristic of it were the riveted construction of the armor plates, the suspension with leaf springs and the main armament in the form of a 47 mm gun in the turret. It was used above all in North Africa. The late version includes changes derived from combat experience.
We recommend assembling and finishing the running gear before closing up the hull. Use liquid cement for plastic and glue the fine photo-etched fret with cyanoacrylate glue. A quality primer forms the base; apply the paints with an airbrush and create the final weathering with washes and pigments for the dust and mud effects typical of desert service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
